A Sunday Roast can be a very special meal out when chosen well. The Marksman is a pub in East London that won the Michelin guide 'Pub of the Year' award in 2016. Located just around the corner from Columbia Flower Market, you couldn't find a much better way to spend a Sunday than treating yourself to a lunch here.
The pub is relaxed, but not your average, the food is exceptional and the ambience is just right. Not overflowing with people like many pubs, you would definitely be able to have a quiet meal out while getting a definite pub experience.
You are given the choice of different meats as well as vegetarian options for your roast, two courses or three courses according to your hunger. You can always share a starter and a dessert if going with someone, for example. The menu is original and interesting, and you can taste the high quality of the produce. A Sunday roast is definitely worth the trip here- it's not ridiculously expensive and you will leave full! Thank me later.
