10 Course 'Taste of China' Menu: £60pp

This generous tasting menu takes you through many different regions of Chinese cuisine, each course explained as they are served. This dinner isn't one to be rushed through, lasting almost 3 hours in total. However, there are so many exotic and vibrant tastes and textures you experience throughout this time, it hardly feels long at all.

The restaurant feels casual, but elegant with a bustling open kitchen. Sitting at the 'bar seat 8' (which is request-able with the booking) was an experience in itself- watching the chefs prepare the dishes meticulously right in front of you was definitely an additional merit. Watching them inject the vinegar into the steamed dumplings with a pipette, perfecting dishes before they get sent out, all so intriguing.

Particular highlights were the 'build-your-own' burger and the scents that come from the dry ice effect they had from the spicy gong bao chicken. There were so many different flavours infused and incorporated in each dish, yet they all seemed to pull together to produce something unique. There was clearly a lot of thought and emotion put through each dish which made it somehow special to taste.

Cocktails were equally interesting, some cocktails involving tea and dry ice essences, all with an original twist.

I'll be back for the Dim Sum, for sure. But for a special occasion, you won't regret this tasting menu- you won't forget it for a long time, that's for sure.
